Live Music - What Is Live Music?

The term 'Live Music' is loosely used when referring to bands playing music in a live venue. Whether this is an outdoor or indoor arena, the basic experience remains the same. There is no right or wrong way to do it but when you think about it, there are many differences between these two types of venues. So, how can one choose which is the better option?

The fact that the venue is packed with people definitely has a lot to do with the feeling of 'live music'. Crowds are naturally more receptive when this happens.

Also, when you have the audience members sitting on top of their chairs listening to a band, the audience members will be engaged in conversation. It may not always be a good thing as some people tend to speak on the tip of their tongues.

However, when you are having an intimate performance at a venue that has a capacity of a couple of hundred to a couple of thousand, you will find that you are able to engage in a conversation with each other and not just a lecture. In addition, you will be enjoying the conversation.

The feeling of 'being there' is also enhanced when the venue is packed with people. In such a scenario, it gives everyone the opportunity to feel like they are truly in the scene and that they are in a moment that will last forever. It is this feeling that allows for the bonding of the audience.

Live music in general is not all that good for your body as it can get very heavy when you are up on stage for a long time and performing for such a long time. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes to help reduce the strain on your muscles.

The live music is usually quite loud and sometimes the music can be deafening. It is always important to wear ear plugs. The pressure exerted by the sound can actually cause ear problems.

Some heavy metal fans complain about tinnitus, a ringing sound in the ears that can sometimes be brought on by loud music. The loud music can also leave some music lovers feeling sore and uncomfortable.

Of course, there are different reasons why some people prefer to listen to music at home instead of in a venue. Usually, when a band performs in front of an audience, it is because they feel the crowd would be more responsive and engaged if it were a live situation. They can also hear their songs better since the audience is present to experience the music and not just hear the words.

Live music also provides the opportunity to interact with other people who happen to be paying attention to the performance. It is a far cry from having no-one to interact with except for the audience. Even when the audience is not, it still provides a great opportunity to connect with other people who are sharing the same interest in music.

As mentioned above, live music is a time to re-connect with the audience and try to engage them in the experience. They may be having a much different experience than you but with live music, you may find that you come back to this place again as a fan of the music.

So, Live Music has many differences and benefits. Get a band to perform at your event and see what the difference really is.
